Sonera mobile subscriptions and most of the Sonera mobile services available in Finland also operate outside Finland in the networks of foreign operators with which Sonera has signed a cooperation agreement. The cooperation is smooth and reasonably priced in both directions: both for Sonera customers in foreign networks and for foreign users roaming in Sonera’s networks.
The Sonera mobile subscription operates in 193 countries, in over 290 operators’ networks – and the operating area keeps expanding (situation in December 2009). Of the operators on the Finnish market, Sonera has the largest number of roaming agreements with foreign operators, which ensures that the mobile phone can be used in a versatile way around the world.

Calls made and received abroad are divided into six price categories, each of which has its own standard price every day of the week, around the clock, and even regardless of the operator. For text messages and data transfer there are two different prices: one for Europe, one for the rest of the world.
